Data Sources: Where Data Enters cofi.ai
📌 Summary
Data Sources is the entry point for all data in cofi.ai. Connect systems (ERP/CRM/HRIS) or upload CSVs; cofi.ai ingests and normalizes that data for downstream use.
🎯 Purpose
- Pulling data directly from products like QuickBooks (ERP) or Salesforce (CRM)
- Uploading CSV files exported from your systems
- Organizing sources into folders and keeping track of refreshes
🔑 Key Concepts
- Connectors: secure integrations to your systems; refresh daily (or on-demand).
- Uploads (CSV): alternate path when an integration isn’t available.
- Schema: the column “blueprint” cofi.ai reads from each source.
- Mappings: the rules that categorize accounts and attributes so your data rolls up correctly (e.g., Assets → Cash).
➡️ Typical Tasks
- Create a connection to your ERP/CRM/HRIS
- Upload a CSV (UTF-8, YYYY-MM-DD dates, period as decimal separator)
- Define or update the schema headers that cofi.ai should read
- Add/maintain mapping files (in-platform or via a dedicated mapping data source)
⚡️ Quick Start
- Open Data Sources → Connect software or Create uploader.
- For CSVs, set/read the Schema so headers match exactly.
